Austin Ostro is a Senior at the University at Albany pursuing a degree in Political Science with a concentration in global politics. During his time as an undergrad, Austin has established proficiency as a leader. On campus, he has participated in several leadership roles. 

Austin served in the University at Albany Student Association Senate for the 2016-2017 academic year. He held the role of Vice Chair while chairing the Board of Finance.

Austin is the Director of Legislative Affairs for the Student Assembly, overseeing the legislative advocacy efforts. He was appointed Chief of Staff in September of 2017, tasked with managing the Student Assembly Cabinet.

Austin aspires to make the student’s voice heard at the SUNY level. He has proven his commitment to the Student Assembly through his diligence, proudly representing the State University of New York’s 600,000 students
