Messiah R. Gaymon Sr. was born Tuesday, December 10, 1985 in Brooklyn New York. Father of a five-year-old daughter; Madison, and a seven-year-old son Messiah Jr. Has dedicated his life to service.  Messiah was ordained a Minister at the age of fifteen and a Pastor at the age of eighteen. He answered the call of service once more when he enlisted into the United States Airforce. A sacrifice that would not come easy, but was undertaken at great cost. While in the Air Force Messiah was seen as a, leader amongst his peers. Awarded for his leadership and his bravery; receiving the “The President’s Volunteer Service Award” Gold. Messiah retired, December 29, 2015. Currently, after leaving the military He would go on to finish his education at Farmingdale State College. While attending FSC he would go on to continue his life of service as the first chartered Commander of the Farmingdale State College American Legion Post 2016. Messiah joined the Student Government Association under the promise of being an ear for the students, their voice, and most importantly their advocate.  He began his tenure as a senator, advancing to become the Vice President and is now serving his second and last term as President. He also participates in numerous clubs/organizations on campus, with the goal to increase the educational, and social experience of all student at Farmingdale State College. Messiah also served as an AG/Tech Representative for the SUNY Student Assembly, working to ensure students were informed and that they had a reliable advocate. He has since been elected as the Secretary for SUNY SA. Messiah R. Gaymon Sr. is a Servant Leader, a Mentor and a Serviceman.
