Richard Caldicott  Representative Community Colleges

Richard was elected by his peers to serve as a Doctoral Granting Institution Undergraduate Representative in the April of 2018. Currently, Richard represents the students of the University of Albany, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, as well as the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, advocating for their needs and voting on their behalf within the Executive Committee.

Previously in the April of 2017, Richard was elected by his peers to be a Community College Representative and subsequently served as the Vice-Chair for the Community Colleges Committee. During his tenure as a Community College Representative, Richard passionately advocated for the holistic assessment of transfer students, expansion of community college funding, and sustainable divestment, also serving as a member of the ad-hoc bylaws committee. Richard first became involved in SUNY Student Assembly in the Fall of 2016, where he served as a member on the Assemblies Community Colleges, Campus Safety, and Diversity Equity & Inclusion committees.

During histime at SUNY Adirondack, Richard was intimately involved within the community, where he served as the Secretary for the Student Senate his Freshman year, and as Treasurer for his Sophomore year. Richard has also served the community of SUNY Adirondack as a Student Ambassador, as well as being an active member of the College Activity Board and the Faculty Student Association. Richard Caldicott graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Adirondack, and he will be transferring to SUNY Binghamton for his junior year, where he is intending to pursue two bachelor’s degrees in Political Science & Philosophy.
